“Don’t think of receiving, think of giving.” — Lama Zopa Rinpoche

The Bodhichitta Trust supports various nonprofits and other worthy projects and individuals, especially the activities of the worldwide network of Buddhist centers and projects, the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition.

The Trust was established in 2005 by Ven. Robina Courtin, who’s been a student of the founders of the FPMT, Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, since 1976.

It offers monthly donations ranging from $50 to $5,000, and makes one-off donations from time to time, to some forty organizations and individuals, both Buddhist and non-Buddhist, including eight people in prison and seven monks and nuns.

Over the years, it has initiated many projects of its own, such as the production and distribution of the documentary film Chasing Buddha, the creation of a CD, Devotion, and the Lawudo Trek.
